So, on August 20th, (which by the way was my Birthday) The City Of Raleigh denied with a D plans to fund a soccer stadium along with plans to fund PNC Arena. All because of concerns of the city supporting it now, I don't know the logistics of it, and I won't but if Steve Malik had maybe pitched in Major League Soccer in it and said this stadium plan is part it probably worked. Personally I know one member who did somewhat approved the plan and this council women is Kay Crowder I emailed her 2 weeks prior, I haven't heard from her but I did email her as part Malik's effort to encourage the public to email/call their representatives I asked here about the stadium Kane's other projects including Smokey Hollow I've had no response, but surprisingly she voted yes to the plan but on certain conditions. She made the motion to approve the agreement but strike the commissioners’ change, in essence, putting it back the way it was. However, both boards would have to agree to the same terms. Now Wake County did approve I wasn't surprised cause when they released last year tourism it did highlight the Soccer Stadium (on its then Peace Road Location) But it included the primary goal MLS. No surprise there. Well just have to see apparently Malik and Kane are holding a news conference Friday on the potential impacts of the stadium to persuade people after this setback I have more details on that, but I am going on vacation with my family in Myrtle Beach so I don't know when I'll update you guys but I'll be sure to do so when I come back.
